CareFest projects can involve cleanup, light construction, landscaping, painting, etc. Project leaders will be responsible for meeting with the agency representative in the weeks prior to CareFest in order to get the specifics on the project and the expectations for what is to be completed. Project managers will then make a work plan for the group to follow and prepare a list of tools and supplies that will be needed.
There will be a meeting for all Project Managers approximately two weeks prior to CareFest. At that meeting we will finalize the details for the day of Carefest. Typically that will involve meeting at the church early for final prep, light breakfast and prayer. Meeting your group in a designated area and discussing the day as well as distributing maps to the site. Once on site, managers need to supervise the work site by communicating with workers, keeping work loads distributed and always keeping in mind the safety of those involved.
Project Managers are the ones who determine when a job is finished (although some workers may need to come and go based on their individual schedules). Thank your team, pray for the agency and dismiss your team upon completion.
