Children (Birth-6th Grade)

Things Every Kid needs

A REALLY BIG GOD they can trust no matter what
Kids should grow up knowing that God is big enough to handle whatever they may face.

SOMEONE ELSE who believes what they believe
Kids need friends who will encourage them to grow in their faith.

ANOTHER VOICE saying the same things parents say
As children grow older it becomes more important to have other adults in their lives as spiritual mentors and leaders.

UNCOMMON SENSE to help them make wise choices
God's point of view and His truth should become the filter for how kids view life and make decisions.

NOSY PARENTS who know where their kids are spiritually
Kids need parents who will be intentional about spending time together as a family and staying actively involved in their children's spiritual growth.

2 > 1+1

“There are two powerful influences on the planet—
            the church and the home.
They both exist because God initiated them.
They both exist because God desires to use them
to demonstrate His plan of redemption and restoration
If they work together they can potentially
Make a greater impact than if they work alone.
They need each other.
Too much is at stake for either one to fail.
Their primary task is to build God’s kingdom
in the hearts of men and women, sons and daughters.”

Reggie Joiner, Think Orange
-Any time we talk about a part of the "Orange Strategy", we want you to know that the idea came from Think Orange by Reggie Joiner. (more)

Maybe it looks like we do crazy math around here. We believe that the synergy created when the family and the church work together to spiritually impact children means 2 forces working together are more effective than either one working alone.

Our orange philosophy of blending the red of heart and home with the yellow of the church, highlighting Jesus’ completed work for us, is the foundation of our efforts.

We want to take advantage of our limited time with the children to teach the truth of the Bible and help them build relationships with caring adults and consistent peers that reinforce their spiritual understanding.

We also want to equip parents to successfully engage their children in spiritual conversations making faith building a natural part of parenting.
