Hot Spot | 1st-4th Grade
The Hot Spot is a place where children from first through fourth grade learn that they can grow in their relationship with their Creator by studying His Word, worshipping Him with wholehearted praise, and serving like Christ.
The Hot Spot meets on Sunday mornings during the 9:30am and 11:00am services. It is located in the gym, so enter the building through the breezeway located at doors 13/14. For more information, please email us at .

Parents' Night Out
The next FREE Parents’ Night Out will take place on Friday, December 13, from 5:00pm – 8:30pm! Just pack a dinner for your kiddos (birth – 4th grade) and drop them off at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church for an evening of crafts, games, and entertainment. When you arrive, enter through the breezeway (door 13/14) and check in kids ages 0-2 at the nursery and kids ages 3 and up at the gym.
Please plan to take advantage of this event, share this information with anyone who might be interested, and RSVP here by December 9.
The children's Christmas musical, "Star of Wonder," will be performed on Sunday, December 15, at both the 9:30 and 11:00 services. His Kids Choir (kindergarten-6th grade) will tell the story of Jesus' birth from the stars' perspectives. Invite your friends and family to enjoy the kid-friendly service. Family Commitment Sunday (offered twice per year) is a time when parents commit to raising their child(ren) in a Christian home. It is also a time when the church body commits to encourage and support the parents in the greatest of responsibilities. Faith Background: I became a Christian when I was eight years old. Since then, God has patiently encouraged my faith, oftentimes by challenging it, to teach me what it means to join Him in His work.
Maggie Mobley - Children's Ministry Assistant

Education History: I graduated from Bloomington South in 2000, and attended Purdue University where I received an Elementary Education Degree in 2004.
Work History: I have worked as a Service Coordinator for First Steps from 2007-2013. I worked with kids ages 0-3 years and their families to develop a plan to help those kids meet all of their developmental goals. I also coached volleyball for Jackson Creek Middle School from 2008-2013.
Faith Background: I grew up in Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, and even attended the church when it was at the old location on Winslow Road! I have been a member here since 1990, and I love calling SOCC my church home!
