Kindergarten & 1st Grade

When a kid transitions into middle school, we want that child to have experienced and own three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52 (light bulb moment—now you know what the 252 means):

I need to make the wise choice.

I can trust God no matter what.

I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Our K/1 Spot is for Kindergarteners and 1st graders and meets in the room across from the stairs coming down from the main hall. Your child(ren) will experience interactive lessons, join in worship, discuss with their small group, work on crafts and have fun with their friends.

The Sunday morning focus this fall in our K/1 through Are 56 will be Contentment (August), Respect (September), Individuality (October), and Cooperation (November).

We are continuing to develop and refine our small group emphasis in children’s ministry at 9:30, focusing on growing relationships, prayer and practical application of the lesson.

Our ongoing priorities of prayer and service, particularly in light of our 50th year celebration, will be the center of our Wednesday night programming this fall.

Service is offered during both the 9:30am and 11:00am hours.

Looking to come for your first time? Download our visitor information card and bring it with you on Sunday morning to the Welcome Spot inside door 15. We will print your child's name badge, give you your security tag and show you and your child to their class.
