Let’s face it...for most people, connecting in a larger church like SOCC can be a bit overwhelming. You may sit in the same pew every week, but in a church our size it's really hard to meet people during a worship service. If you want to develop friendships at SOCC and fulfill God's purpose for your life, you must spend time serving and growing alongside other believers.
Where do you start? We've outlined a few first steps to help you get connected at SOCC.
CONNECT is designed for people who are new to SOCC, or who have been attending for a while but haven’t yet found ways to be involved. CONNECT is a one-hour experience filled with fun and helpful insight on what it means to connect, grow, serve, share and worship at SOCC. Connection Coaches will help you find involvement opportunities that suit your interests.

- Ask about the next Decision Dessert to explore baptism and membership (Email)
After attending CONNECT, your next step is to DISCOVER how God has designed you to serve inside and outside the church as a volunteer. We want to help you find a "sweet spot" in ministry: a place where your gifts, talents and passion can make a lasting impact for Christ. To do this we offer you a variety of tools.
- Spiritual Gifts Assessment
- Personality Test
- Tell us about your interests
- Ask about the next DISCOVER 6-week Growth Group (Email)
After taking CONNECT and DISCOVERING how God has uniquely designed you, your next step is to get involved. Follow the links to explore involvement opportunities to help you grow and serve in Christ-centered communities within SOCC.
God’s church is much bigger than just SOCC. You will often hear us talk about i2U. Basically, i2U means that we shift our focus from ourselves to our family, co-workers, neighbors, and beyond.
