Membership Covenant

Having received Jesus as my leader and forgiver and been baptized, being in agreement with SOCC’s statements, strategy and structure and by having fulfilled all the requirements for membership at SOCC, I now wish to unite with the SOCC family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to do the following:

I will protect the unity of my church...
...by acting in love toward other members
...by refusing to gossip
...by following and submitting to church leaders

I will contribute to the expansion of my church...
...by financially supporting SOCC’s mission
...by praying for its growth
...by inviting the unchurched to participate in the life of the church
...by warmly welcoming those who visit

I will serve the ministry of my church...
...by attending CONNECT
...by discovering my gifts and talents
...by plugging in to a smaller group
...by embracing God’s 5 purposes for my life: connecting, growing,
    sharing, serving and worshipping

I will support the integrity of my church...
...by attending faithfully
...by living a godly life
...by making a personal commitment to the i2U vision
