Adrian and Rebecca Reid have both experienced serving missions firsthand. Adrian first traveled with a Sherwood Oaks short-term mission team in 2004 to the Agua Viva Children’s Home in Guatemala. There, he helped with service projects, including the construction of a school. Two years later, his wife Rebecca led a group of IU graduate students to Guatemala and worked with teachers at the same school Adrian’s team helped build years before. Through their missions, Adrian and Rebecca were able to impact children’s lives by demonstrating God’s love and making their learning environment a better place.
Through Adrian and Rebecca’s experiences, they now encourage others to participate in short-term mission trips and recently lead a team to Guatemala in December 2007. “Missions really change you because you realize you need people, not things. We feel very fortunate that we’ve been given the opportunity to serve others.”
Impacting others’ lives by serving short-term missions is Adrian and Rebecca’s i2u story. What’s yours?
