Last weekend was the fifth year Sherwood Oaks has hosted the One Girl Conference, a Friday Night/Saturday Day event dedicated to helping young girls and women realize their potential and that God has created them with a purpose - to change the world!
The conference was launched after our own Claudia Mitchell and her friend Kim Goad wrote and published "One Girl Can Change the World." In the fifth year of the conference, we looked at what it meant to be In Pursuit of a God who relentlessly pursues you.
We were blown away by the number of girls, moms and volunteers that chose to make One Girl a part of their weekend. All told, we had almost 400 people in the building worshiping and learning more about God through sessions and breakouts.
Thank you to everyone who served and brought their girls to One Girl! We cannot wait to have you back again in 2015!
