Donna Pruet

Donna grew up in Bath, North Carolina where her father, Henry D. Mann, Jr., was the minister of Athens Chapel Church of Christ for 10 years. After graduating from High School in 1978 she enrolled in Roanoke Bible College, located in Elizabeth City, NC. In May of 1983, Donna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education.

While enrolled in college, Donna traveled and sang in a trio called "Son’s Up." "Son’s Up" traveled together for 6 years and recorded 3 albums during their time together. The highly sought after group performed at various youth and college functions; Christian retreats; church camps; and gospel rallys.

Donna eventually moved to Indiana in February of 1994 and began working at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in July. She married, David Pruet on December 6, 1997. Dave and Donna have 2 children, Kayla Noel (12/26/88) and Kevin Derek (10/13/90), and one deceased child, Eddie (11-01-83 to 08-05-89). Both Dave and Donna are very involved in the Music Ministry at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church where Donna is a vocalist and Dave is a percussionist. Both of their children are also involved in various youth activities and programming.

Donna enjoys reading, singing and spending time with her family. Kayla is involved in competition dance, and Kevin is involved in soccer and band at BHSN. These events alone keep her very busy and limit what time she may have for other activities.

Donna is SOCC's Assistant Director of Adult Education. She also works for the church’s Senior and Executive Ministers as well as coordinating and scheduling all current and future events in the church buildings.

Donna has been with Sherwood Oaks Christian Church since 1994 and has no intention of ever leaving stating that she feels SOCC is her "home away from home."
