John Belden

John Belden grew up in Bloomington and spent his professional career in banking. In 1965, he married Terri (McConnell). Terri is a Bloomington native and is employed at Indiana University. They have two children, Kim and John Michael. Kim lives in Columbus, IN and is married to Mark Farr.  They have four children (Caden, Ellory, Noble, and Silas). John Michael lives in Indianapolis and is married to Libby (Cooksey) with their two children (Garrett and Piper).

John and Terri came to Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in 1999. John previously served as a deacon at the Unionville Church of Christ. At SOCC they attend a small group, serve as monthly Greeters, the Kitchen Ministry, the Community Response Team, Men's and Women’s Ministry. They enjoy spending time with family, grandchildren, and in their spare time, camping, and traveling.

John is honored to have the privilege of serving as a SOCC Deacon since 2005.
