Sung Park
Sung
Park was born and grew up in Seoul, Korea. He earned his Bachelors Degree
in Business Administration from Sungkyunkwan University (http://eng.skku.edu in
Korea and worked for Daewoo Motors for three years. He came to The United
States in 1994 and earned a Master’s Degree in Economics from The
University of Texas and an MBA from The University of North Carolina.
He passed the CPA exam and is now working toward his CPA license. He
came to SOCC in 2001 and began serving as an SOCC Deacon in 2006. He
serves in the International Ministry and translates Tom’s sermon
into Korean every week. He plays tennis at least once a week and loves
to travel all over the world.
Sung married Yujin Song in 1993 while both of them were members of the Namseoul Presbyterian Church in Korea. In fact, they were born in the same hospital in Korea. Yujin grew up in Seoul and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music (Violin) from Sookmyung Women’s University (http://e.sookmyung.ac.kr) in Korea. She plays violin for the SOCC Worship Ministry and various women’s activities; she is also involved with international ministries. She loves baking various cakes and bread.
Sung
and Yujin have two daughters, Jooyoun 12 and Julie 8. They are now attending
Clear Creak Christian School (www.cccschool.com)
and will attend Lighthouse Christian Academy (www.lighthouse-christian.com)
this fall. Jooyoun likes to play flute, and Julie loves gymnastics (www.risingstargymnasticsclub.com).
Sung and Yujin thank God for them growing in the fullness of God’s
love and living to help others.
Sung’s whole family feel God’s endless love for them to lead their family into Bloomington and to be involved in serving at SOCC. Sung is honored a lot to be serving as a Deacon for SOCC and looking forward to hearing more from all international people as well as Hoosiers!
