Vickie Carmichael

Vickie was born and raised here in Bloomington. She is a true ‘Hoosier’ which includes a love of Indiana basketball! Vickie worked with a pediatric dentist in town for 20 years before coming to SOCC almost ten years ago to work with the ministries from nursery to college. She is now the Assistant Director of Women's Ministry.

Vickie is happily married to Jeff Carmichael. Jeff teaches special ed and coaches golf at Edgewood High School. She has two daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth, two stepsons, Harrison and Jonas, and a beautiful granddaughter, Alyvia. She enjoys her family, traveling, camping, gardening, sewing, and her newest hobby, hunting pheasant! Vickie’s favorite author is Francine Rivers, her favorite Christian speaker is Priscilla Shirer, her favorite color has always been pink, and her favorite decorating style is country cottage.

Vickie will tell you that her role here at SOCC brings much joy and purpose…she’s learned how her job has become her ministry. Vickie’s favorite verse is Matthew 17:20 ~ With faith, “nothing will be impossible for you.”
