if you have kids...
Try not to pull all your hair out while hurrying to get ready for church. relax. It’s OK if you’re a little late. When you get onto the campus, we’d suggest trying to park near Doors 1 through 5 and go to the Welcome Center. They will be able to direct you to the correct spot for your child. And if you’re concerned about your child’s safety...relax. A childcare worker can fill you in on our extensive safety measures. Children’s programming is available at the 9:30am and 11:00am services only.
what to wear...what to wear...
Some of our people dress up and some dress down. We don’t care about what you wear to church. I mean, you probably shouldn’t wear that bright orange tutu that you have in the closet, but other than that it’s pretty much wide open. relax. We want you to feel comfortable in whatever you wear and to focus on the message of God’s love for you.
a personal touch...
We love meeting new people. That’s why we invite guests to come to the Welcome Center in the foyer before the service. This gives you a chance to have your questions answered and to receive relevant information about the church. After the service, stop by Guest Central to speak one-on-one with someone from the church and receive a simple gift from us. relax. We won’t hound you or embarrass you...we’d just like to introduce ourselves and get to know you a little better.
keep your wallet in your pocket...
The church takes up an offering each week in its worship services. While you are welcome to participate in the vision of the church through our offering, we don’t want you to feel any sense of obligation to do so. This is an opportunity for those who share in the work of SOCC to give back to God. relax. We’re not after your money, we’re just glad you came over for a visit.
