What To Expect
Bloomington West is currently not meeting in-person on Sundays due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Please join our all-campus worship at 8:00am & 9:30am Sundays at socc.tv or facebook.com/sherwoodoaks
You’ll notice we’re a diverse church, and you’ll feel right at home wearing anything from jeans to a dress, casual dress or a suit. As you enter the front door, there will be friendly people ready to welcome you. On your first visit, please be sure to stop by the Welcome desk – we’d love to meet you there, and we have a gift for you to say thank you for coming.
No matter what you’ve been through or what questions you might have, our church is a place where you’ll find the grace, mercy and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.
Here’s a short list of what you can specifically look for when you visit Sherwood Oaks Bloomington West.
We're quickly running out of room and have a plan to increase our ministry space by converting some unused garage space into a welcoming, inviting area for students and other ministries to use. Our challenge is to raise $75,000 to get the work done! You can give using the blue envelopes on Sundays or by clicking the link below (select West Expansion from the dropdown menu).
Our parking lot is on two separate levels, but easy to navigate. Feel free to park wherever is most convenient for you. Handicap accessible spaces are located near the facility with convenient access to the door. If it’s raining, or if someone in your vehicle has limited mobility, feel free to drop off at the front entrance and our parking attendants will assist the needs and have umbrellas in case yours is at home or in another vehicle.
Please visit the Welcome Center and introduce yourself! We'd love to get to know you and answer any questions you might have and pick up a gift from us.
We would be happy to guide you through everything you might need to know while attending Sherwood Oaks Bloomington West, especially during the current health crisis.
Children and teens are expected to sit with their families.
Kids should sit with their parents at least through early August. We'll provide updated kids programming info when we have it! Contact Becky at for more info.
We love middle and high school students and the impact they are making in Bloomington and around the world. Contact Hannah at for more information about mid-week studies (students should sit with their parents during services).
Offering and Communion
Offering stations are located throughout the building ( checks can be made out to Sherwood Oaks). Text to give by texting sherwoodoakscc to 77977.
Communion will be picked up as you enter the building and we will partake together. We ask that you dispose of your cup on your way out.
