At Sherwood Kids! VBX Block Parties this summer, kids will dive deeper into their faith. They'll discover how to trust in what they CAN'T see because of what they CAN see by putting the FOCUS on God and His amazing plan for us. Each day we'll have a blast as we explore one of four different ways we can FOCUS on God--hear, pray, talk, live.
Days - June 6-10
Time - Varies depending on site location.
Ages - Anyone can attend. However, the program is designed for kids who will be in elementary school this upcoming academic year. For kids younger than this, a parent would need to stay with them.
Location - The location of each block party depends on the hosts. Some hosts might have it at their home, while others might have it at a park or another location. Check out the map below to see who's hosting a block party. (Sites coming soon.)
Shirts will be provided for volunteers.
Daily Collections for Mission Projects
Each day of the VBX Block Party, the kids will get the opportunity to learn about and support a mission. The following is the donation collection schedule:
Monday - No donations.
Tuesday - Small Toys
Wednesday - Gently Used or New Clothes
Thursday - School Supplies
Friday - Various supplies to fill care packages (A "care package" is a gallon size zip-lock bag filled with items that would help a homeless person, e.g., water bottle, granola bar, band-aid, hand sanitizer, etc. Each child will make a care package for his/her family to give to a homeless person.)
