Michael Pritchard wrote, “You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.” Hi, I’m Tom Ellsworth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a minute message.
A woman arrived at the dentist’s office for her first appointment and noticed his full name on the door. Suddenly, she remembered a tall, handsome classmate with the same name so many years ago. “Could this be the guy I had a crush on way back then?” she wondered.
When the slightly stooped, balding, gray-haired dentist walked into the room she quickly dismissed any such thought. He's way too old to have been my classmate, she thought.
Still, there was something about him so she asked, "Did you happen to attend Morgan Park High School?"
"Why, yes, I did," he answered a bit surprised.
"When did you graduate?" she asked.
"1959," he replied.
“Ohhhh,” she exclaimed, "You were in my class!"
"Really?" he said, "What did you teach?"
Life must be lived moving forward, but it is best enjoyed looking back. And aren’t you glad that wrinkles don’t hurt! They look best when you’re happy so never stop laughing. Stay young by growing older with grace and live every day grateful to God for his gift of life and laughter.
