Author G. K. Chesterton wrote, “There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person.”  Hi, I’m Tom Ellsworth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a minute message.

Life is interesting every day if you take time to notice; even the ordinary can be fascinating. Recently, a hummingbird flew into our garage and quickly changed my focus. Even with the huge opening of a garage door, the frighten bird hovered near the ceiling and I couldn’t seem to gentle move or direct to the opening. I watched with fascination; so tiny and yet so powerful. A hummingbird can hover in place or fly forward, backwards, and even upside down. Their wings beat some 50 times per second which explains why they must eat every 10 minutes. I darkened both windows with black plastic, shut the garage door and then opened the side door and the tiny bird flew toward the light and freedom. God’s creation is truly incredible. No two days are ever the same so be interested; open your eyes to what’s going on around you. Seek the light of God’s truth and in that truth, you will find freedom and hope.
