Rewrite your Soundtrack

Shel Silverstein has a poem that goes like this:

"Listen to the mustnt's child,
listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn'ts,
the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never-haves,
then listen close to me...
Anything can happen, child. Anything can be."

Much like the sermon from Josh Reynolds on Sunday, this poem is about the words and thoughts that run rampant in your head and how they dictate and determine our actions. The things we must not, should not, cannot do sometimes form the soundtrack of our thoughts - we're not enough, we don't fight enough, we're not strong enough...but God is there, even in our detrimental soundtracks, and He is fighting for His voice to be heard above all the other noise.

No matter what you're thinking, no matter how lost and stuck in your own thoughts and soundtrack you may be, God is reaching out, saying "anything is possible, child. Anything can be." You can rewrite that soundtrack into a great song God is singing over your life.
