Please join us volunteering for the Hannah Center!
Invite your friends and small groups. We could also use donations for the materials required. If anyone can’t make this event but would like to help, please contact Brian before the event or Angie after the event.
When: November 3, 8:00am=12:00pm
- Yard work (weeding, trimming/leaf removal/mulching),
- Sorting clothes,
- Administration (e.g. mailings), and
- Repairs and maintenance activities inside and outside of their two buildings.
Who: 40 helpers - young and old, skilled and unskilled. Children welcome, but no childcare provided.
Where: 808 N. College Ave. – Please park on the street or north of Hannah Center, except trucks to haul away debris. You may want to carpool. Meet inside the Hannah Maternity Home (north building) at 8:00am sharp for the kickoff.
Food: Water, Coffee and donuts provided.
How to Sign-up: Contact the project lead, Brian Oeding at or 812.929.3287 and let him know what primary and secondary tasks you prefer to work on: Lawn Care, Repairs, Cleaning, Sorting Clothes or Administration (Mailings, etc).
What to Bring: Whatever you can, such as: gloves, water bottle, leaf blowers, shovels and rakes for mulch and leaves, pruners/trimmers for bushes and tree limbs, brooms, wheelbarrows, hammers, screwdrivers, power washers, cleaning supplies, food and drinks to share, trucks to hall leaves and yard debris away, etc.
Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny High 58F, but we are on rain or shine.
Donations: Checks made out to “Hannah Center” or cash for supplies can be and given to Brian Oeding.
Why: Hannah Center & Hannah House Maternity Home (see www.hannahcenter.org) does great pro-life work in Bloomington helping young ladies with crisis pregnancies and families with parenting support and resources for God’s glory.
