Let's Celebrate Thankfulness

Nov 3, 2023Sarah Maher

October has come to an end, and the Fall weather is starting to creep in. November brings thoughts of spending time with family, getting ready for the holidays, and, of course - turkey.

Last year, our family started a new November tradition, one that we hope to continue this year. We had a “thankful pumpkin” on our kitchen table all month. Our pumpkin was not anything special, just one leftover from Halloween. Each day, as we sat down to eat our dinner together, we wrote one thing that we were thankful for on the pumpkin. It was a great way to start our dinner with grateful hearts and minds.

With everything going on around the world, I have more to be thankful for than ever this year. Recently, I am often reminded of the little things, the conveniences we enjoy, that can so quickly taken for granted.

I hope you will join our family this year in celebrating the season of Thanksgiving. There are so many ways to show and share our gratitude for all of the wonderful blessings from our Lord. “Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever” Psalm 106:1.
