Daily Schedule for Kindergarten

Kindergarten Schedule 

8:45-9:15: Arrival, Morning Work, and Free Play

9:15-9:30: Morning Meeting, Phonics, and Read Aloud 

9:30-10:00: Literacy or Math (Snack time while working)

10:00-10:55: Literacy/Math Groups (10-15 min with each small group)

10:55-11:10: Calendar

11:10-11:30: Recess

11:30-12:00: Lunch

12:00-12:15: Bible Story and Show & Tell

12:15-12:45: Science, Social Studies, or a Craft

12:45-1:00: Pack Up/Dismissal

 

Once a month, we enjoy Chapel. Families are always welcome to join us! 

 

Special Activities

In addition to our regular daily activities, we also try to include many special celebrations throughout the year. We will have classroom parties for Pumpkin Day, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. We have a Thanksgiving Feast, Pajama Day, Super Bowl Day, and Dr. Seuss Week.

We also provide field trips to Peden Farm, Fire Station, and Wonderlab, as well as having many special guests come visit us here. This past year we had a policeman, dental hygienist, veterinarian, and Kasey – fire safety dogs. These will vary from year to year.
