B-Town Worship Night
Join us for a night of worship at Switchyard Park in Bloomington as 5 local churches come together to sing and worship! Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, along with Christ Community Church, Clear Creek Christian Church, South Union Christian Church and Westside Community Church, will gather at the amphitheater at Switchyard Park. Food trucks will available starting at 4pm. Bring a lawn chair and some friends and let's worship together.

Israel Trip 2024
Sherwood Oaks Christian Church is tentatively planning a trip to Israel, March 10-23, 2024. The trip will be led by Allen Burris and Tim Thompson. The trip's estimated cost is $4,500-$5,000. Israel 2024 Interest Form
The HealthNet Bloomington Health Center is a full-service clinic in Bloomington providing primary care, pediatrics, dental and additional care. Everyone is welcome at the clinic including patients with no insurance, patients with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans. In the month of October, we are collecting donations for their food pantry. A list of donation items needed can be found HERE. Donations can be placed in the bins at Sherwood Oaks Bloomington doors 2 and 5 or at the Bedford Campus Welcome Desk.
As Sherwood Oaks heads closer to our 60th anniversary, we are starting simple prayer gatherings on Tuesday nights, both at our Bloomington and Bedford campuses. We would love to have you join us from 6:30-7:30. We are going to pray for revival in our church, families and communities. To hear Pastor Shawn cast the vision, watch this snippet from a recent sermon. If you aren't able to join us in person, you can still join us for prayer virtually from wherever you are. Our College Ministry will be providing childcare for the DCS (Department of Child Services) on November 5 from 9:30-4:30pm while they provide a training for foster care parents in our community. High School Ministry Fall Retreat
High School students are invited to join us for our Fall Retreat October 12-14 at Camp Illiana in Washington, Indiana. Our goal is to grow closer to Christ and each other. There will be large group activities such as ropes courses, camp games and more. Cost: $85/person with an additional charge for paintball. Find out more and register below.

National Life Chain
Christian Citizens for Life and SOCC's Pro-life Ministry is inviting you to participate in The Life Chain, a national organization, held to support life. Bloomington's Chain will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, from 2:00 until 3:30pm. The chain will start at College Mall and ending on 2nd St. at College Ave. Pick up a sign from Carole at St. Charles Church on 3rd St. Parking is free in neighborhoods to 3rd Street. Families with young children should stay together. Lawn chairs are welcome. Find out more here.
Piecemakers is a group of women who gather to help make various items for different groups in our community and around the world. The group meets twice a month and would love to see new friends. SK! Family Commitment Sunday
Family Commitment Sunday is a special day when we recognize and celebrate and pray for the newborn babies in our church family. These families and little ones will be introduced on stage on Sunday, October 23 during the morning services. Following the brief ceremony, the participating families will be invited to a reception. Extended family are welcome to attend as well. If you would like to participate, please register by Monday, October 10, 2022.

Bonfire - Women's Event

Men and Women's Breakfasts
Each month, the men* and women gather for breakfast at SOCC Bedford. Join the men on the first Saturday of each month at 7:30am for breakfast. Join the ladies on the second Saturday of each month at 8am for breakfast. Both of these breakfasts will be served at the church. *The men will not meet on Oct. 1st
October has 5 Sundays which means Sherwood Oaks Bedford will only have one service at 10:30a. Join us before the service for breakfast at 9a!
