Then Gabriel said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in Heaven.” Daniel 10:12
I find this rather reassuring. Gabriel told Daniel it took him a few weeks to travel from Heaven to bring this message since he was being hindered by some force of evil. Though it took a while to get a response, Daniel’s prayer was immediately heard. How long does it take for us to get a response from God? Certainly longer than we would like, but our prayers are immediately heard by our Father as soon as we speak. To know that He hears us in times of crisis is so encouraging and allows us to have patience when we aren’t getting what we want from God exactly when we want it. But we’re being heard. So talk to God. Let Him know what’s in your heart.
