God isn't a cosmic killjoy keeping you from happiness. In Nehemiah 8, after the people mourned their sins, God told them: "Go celebrate! This is a sacred day—don't be dejected, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
God actually wants you to enjoy the resources He's given you.
This week, what if you obeyed this command? Find something that brings you genuine joy—maybe it's that special coffee, a nice meal, time with friends—and receive it as a gift from your generous Father.
The question isn't whether you can enjoy things. It's whether you're enjoying them with God or instead ofHim.
When gratitude to God fills your heart, even simple pleasures become sacred celebrations of His goodness.
