More Than a Meal

The crowd wanted bread. Jesus offered Himself.

After feeding 5,000 people, Jesus knew they'd come back—not because they recognized Him as Messiah, but because they wanted another free lunch. So He challenged them: "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry."

How often do we do the same? We come to Jesus for what He can give us—comfort, answers, blessings—but resist what He's actually offering: Himself. Complete surrender. Total transformation.

The crowd walked away because they wanted the benefits without the commitment. But Peter stayed because he understood: nothing else satisfies like Jesus.

You can agree with Jesus and still walk away. Or you can consume Him—let Him become part of you, reorient your entire life around Him, and discover the only thing that truly fills.

Where else would you go?
