Practice Hospitality

Jun 17, 2026

"Practice hospitality" isn't about waiting for people to come to you—it's about pursuing a life that helps strangers become friends.

The Greek word Paul uses means to actively chase after, to intentionally pursue. It's not passive. It's motivated by Jesus, who left heaven's comfort to pursue us when we were outsiders.

Who feels like a stranger in your world right now? The new neighbor? The person sitting alone at church? The coworker who seems isolated?

What if this week you took the first step—even if it's uncomfortable? Send that text. Extend that invitation. Make room at your table.

You might be the answer to someone's prayer for connection. You might help someone discover they're not forgotten, that they belong, that they have a home in God's family.

The Gospel tears down dividing walls. Let's live like it.
