When we spend our lives striving for recognition or the “best seat at the table,” we find ourselves exhausted and anxious, wondering if we’re enough. Jesus, in Luke 14, invites us to a different way—to step back, trust God, and let Him do the lifting. True humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less, making room to notice and serve others. When we stop fighting for our own spot and rest in God’s love, we’re freed from comparison and fear. Today, ask God to help you choose humility and trust that His timing and honor are enough.
