We wrapped up the Strapped series this weekend and it was a great four weeks talking not just about money, but about the way money works in our lives, our hearts, our heads, and so much more. As the Director of Finance here at church, the links between the head, heart, and checkbook are something I think about a lot. Every purchase we made is made with gratitude, knowing that it is the congregation that trusts us with those dollars. We have been so honored and blessed as you’ve walked the last few years with us, through Covid, leadership changes, launching West, and so much more.
One of my dreams has always been to start a generosity ministry at Sherwood Oaks – a way to encourage people no matter their financial situation, and to encourage generosity in all areas of our lives – financial, sure – but also our time, our talents, our experiences… We have been given so much and, as a result, have so much to give back in return.
The foundation of that ministry is being started, and we want to hear from you. As a follow-up to the Strapped series, we created a quick survey where you can let us know if you want help with any aspect of your financial life, as well as if you want to be a part of launching this ministry into the fabric of Sherwood Oaks.
