Matthew 5:8 reminds us, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." In challenging seasons, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and distanced from God, but cultivating a pure heart amidst the struggle can deepen our connection to Him.
Good friends play a crucial role during these times; they can help us maintain our focus on faith and purity by providing encouragement and accountability. This week at Mom2Mom Bedford, our speaker spoke about friendships – how to cultivate good, lasting, Christian friendships. I felt blessed thinking about how I already have some wonderful people in my life who I would call very good friends. But it was such a beautiful reminder of how leaning on these relationships to share my struggles and pray together will lift both of us up in the long run.
As you navigate through hardships, remember that seeking God with a sincere heart will illuminate the path ahead, revealing His presence and purpose even in the darkest moments. Embrace this season as an opportunity for growth, drawing close to both God and the friends who remind you of His unwavering love. And although sometimes it’s easier to “do things on your own,” don’t forget the blessing that comes when you are vulnerable enough to give and receive help!
