Every moment of every day most of us choose where we want to be, what we want to think about, what we hope for, dream of, desire most. We choose who we open our hearts to, who we pursue, who we want to spend our time with, who we give most of our attention to. That’s enough dangling participles but you get the point. In this Psalm, the Psalmist is making the case that there is no place better and no one more deserving than our Lord, who provides for us, protects us, showers us with favor, honor and good things. The blessings will come when we trust in Him and walk in His ways. Today we have a choice. Where will we look for meaning, purpose, security, hope, strength and peace? Let us choose to look to the One who can deliver on all of His promises and always has.
