Death is a Reality

Death is a reality. And we live knowing we will die one day. I once had a friend who lived a very worldly, sinful life. I asked him what he thought would happen when he died, and he told me that he lived this long without Jesus he would just go spend the rest of his life living without Jesus. He was just going to let what happened happen. Most people don’t want to think about death. They definitely don’t want to prepare for it. They’re content with just taking the good that God has created using it without giving God praise or credit for the good things He’s created. They just simply want to live their life for themselves. Yet death is inevitable. Therefore, we need to prepare for it. We must try to rid our lives of sin. This body will rot away. So, we must live thinking of new life and a new better body. Put on a new self. God’s people are known by the fruits of the spirit. False Christians are not striving for the fruits of the spirit. But let us be like Jesus! Judge your daily life with Jesus as your example. Continue to ask yourself, were my words and thoughts and actions like Jesus? When we do this, we can live with the hope of living forever with Him. Thinking of the past hinders our new life in Christ. Forgetting what is behind and moving onto heaven’s new life today and each day should be our daily goal! We need to be overcome by the presence of God in our life every day. Moving ourselves out of the way, moving His presence to the forefront!
