“No one can serve two masters. You cannot serve both God and money.” Matthew 6:24.
I’ve felt this in my bones these last few months. Every time I work harder to keep the numbers high and happy, I feel the control slipping away, and it becomes more difficult to surrender my finances to God. It’s a vicious cycle that keeps me from true contentment. For Christians, God is our master; we serve only Him. But in order to fully embrace this, we have to lay down the control we desperately crave and hand over the reins to Him. Easier said than done! But it helps to remember that we have so little control over anything. But we can control which master we serve. Which are you serving today?
