This is something my wife Kedra, cross-stitch for me nearly 40 years ago as we began our ministry together.
Hi, I'm Allen Burris from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
This is my favorite passage. It’s Ephesians 3:20 and 21. This hangs on my office wall at home. It is the first thing I see when I go in the morning. It's precious and beautiful to me and in lots of ways. On the side we see it's smooth, it's readable, it's beautiful, not so much on the other side, on the back.
It's a chaotic mess of strings and knots and tangles. It's a picture of life and reveals the potential that God brings to us. He is busy making good and beauty in our lives, but sometimes all we can see are the messes, the tangles and the knots. Trusting God with all tangles, things and knots is really the essence of faith.
Believing that He is able to take the messes that we are in and make good and beauty from them. Here's what it says: Now to him, Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power, at work within us. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
I hope you have a really good day.
