Sometimes you hear the expression, “Talk is cheap,” and I understand what that means–it’s easy to say things and not have corresponding activity.

In lots of ways, though, talk is expensive. Words create worlds. God used words to create the world we inhabit. The words we speak create worlds in which others live. Be mindful. Be careful. Be intentional.
I’m guessing you are like me–you can recall words of pain and discouragement, some spoken years ago, and you can, also, likely recall words of life-giving encouragement spoken just when you most needed them.
Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences."
