Is this the end?

Frederick Buechner, a writer and theologian, said, “Resurrection means the worst thing is never the last thing.”

Hi, I’m Allen Burris from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.

Resurrection means that the worst thing is never the last thing. On Friday afternoon, when Jesus died, it seemed like the worst thing had happened. Many hopes and dreams also died that afternoon. But not everything is always as it appears. On Sunday morning, Jesus rose up from the dead and walked out of a borrowed tomb.

If we follow Christ, then no matter what happens–even the worst of things–is not the last thing. The hope of resurrection and the promise of eternal life provide a perspective that gives us peace, joy, and confidence.

Let me encourage you to view life from an Empty Tomb and remember: Resurrection means that the worst thing is never the last thing.
