The Cornerstone of Our Lives

Sep 30, 2026

The foundation of any building determines its strength and stability. In ancient times, the cornerstone was set first, and everything else aligned to it. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:20 that Jesus is the chief cornerstone of the church. When our lives, relationships, and communities are built on Him, everything else finds its rightful place. Trying to build on anything else—whether it’s our preferences, achievements, or status—only leaves us unstable and longing for more.

Jesus brings us near, gives us access to the Father, and makes us part of a family that spans every nation and background. If you feel out of place or unsure where you fit, remember: you are invited to build your life on Christ. He alone can provide the belonging, purpose, and unity we seek. Let Him be your cornerstone today and trust that, in Him, you have a firm foundation and a meaningful place in His family.
