Most of us have worked for other people and some of us have had people working for us. We have had good bosses and we have had bosses that did not reach their full potential. Some of us have also had times when we were better at managing people and times when we have fallen short.
You may be in a work situation right now that is very difficult, and you may be having a hard time submitting to the authority of the person or people who you report to. They may be unfair, overly critical, petty, oblivious, egotistical, incompetent or any of the other ways bosses are portrayed in sitcoms, movies or cartoons. You may have employees that share some of those shortcomings and work has become almost unbearable. Regardless of your situation, God can give you Grace for your Place.
If He led you to it, He can lead you through it. It is possible that the Lord is using these tough relationships to develop patience, compassion, wisdom, discernment and endurance. As Paul exhorts us regarding work in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Let's be the best worker we can be, with the best attitude we can bring, for the best boss ever...Jesus Christ.
