Who Needs Your Encouragement Today?

Once we realize we have a habit in need of breaking, we should start the process of forming a new one. Getting out of the negative rut we created to start a new positive rut takes a village to break these habits. We need people who are going to remind, encourage and hold us accountable. One of the habits I find myself following is the habit of not being intentional in my relationships and choosing to stay in my bubble. This is not what God calls us to do. The following is a great reminder:

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

The Holy Spirit is constantly urging me to do good works and act on love, but I often fight back and make excuses; however, the Holy Spirit is also using my wife, who will push me to action. We need people in our lives and our church who will be the encouragement we need to be more Christ-like. You will be encouraged, and it will also spur you to be an encouragement to others.
