Season of Care

Jesus said: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Time, Talent, Treasure...

We all have those three things. This holiday season, we would like to encourage you to spend some of your time, talent and treasure caring for others. Below, you'll see some local and global opportunities to make a difference through care. Identify one or two that you, your family or connect group can get passionate about and invest in. Then invest.

Sherwood Oaks hopes to fill every Red Kettle position for the Salvation Army in Monroe County on Saturday, December 14! When you volunteer to stand at our kettles, you’re not just ringing a bell... you’re changing lives and strengthening our community.

Volunteers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $30 per hour – enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries or shelter an individual for a night. We have approximately 100 slots open for individuals, families, groups or connect groups!
