Feeling hopeless is a terrible, lonely feeling. And we have all had times in our life where it would be easy to feel hopeless and full of despair. But what if we could remember that we don’t have to sit and wait in those feelings?
Hi, this is Maggie Mobley from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a Minute Message.
When we have times of waiting in life that could cause us to feel hopeless, remember God’s promise. Isaiah 40:31 says “But those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.”
Life’s waiting room is a place where time seemingly stands still. But we don’t have to wait without hope. We can wait while we run towards Jesus and the hope that he gives us. He will provide the strength to wait and work through our grief when hard things happen.
You are not without hope, and you are not alone. There are people that can walk beside you in your grief, that can point you to Jesus and to a brighter tomorrow. Jesus is your one true hope, so fix your eyes firmly on him. Join us at Sherwood Oaks on September 11 to renew your hope and set your heart on heaven.
