In Christ Alone

Galatians 2

So many great lessons to be learned and so many incredible truths to be reminded of are found in this chapter. So often those areas in our life that we struggle with the most tend to be the areas we struggle with the longest. How interesting that the very sin which the apostle Paul was confronting Peter about was the same issue that God, many years prior, had brought clarity to Peter about (see Acts Ch.10). God is no respecter of persons, Jew and Gentile alike, we are all given access to the promises and inheritance of God through Christ. In Galatians 2:20 we read, "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Regardless of whether you are a new believer in Christ or have walked with Him for decades, we MUST remain grounded in our identity with Christ alone! Nothing else matters! Neither your political persuasion, National Heritage, religious background, socioeconomic status, or level of education is of any significance when compared to the position you have in Christ. It remains a great mystery to me how the scriptures proclaim that we were actually in Christ when He was crucified. However, this is a spiritual and scriptural fact. The very inheritance of Christ Himself transcends time, space, and generations. So my friends and fellow believers, I urge you to give your whole heart, soul, and mind to the pursuit of your identity as a child of God in Christ.
