It's a Boy!

"So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them." Exodus 2:25 Vickie Carmichael(NIV)

If birth announcements had been written in the day of Moses, it may have gone something like this:

It's a boy! Born to proud parents, Amram and Jochebed and welcomed by his loving siblings, Miriam and Aaron, this beautiful, healthy baby boy is born this year of 1526 B.C. He doesn't know it yet, but by the grace of God, this baby boy is filled with faith and a strong desire to defend the cause of God's people.

Moses' life began as a journey of faith - his parent's faith when they chose to trust God for the protection of their baby boy. His life continued as a life of faith as God led him step by step to carry out the purpose He had for Moses.

The life of Moses clearly helps us understand that God truly cares about His people. God's providence is clearly evident beginning with His care for this newborn babe. Throughout the ages people have asked, "Who is God?" and "Does He truly care?" Moses was never protected more, even in the wilderness, than when he lay alone, upon the waves. His young life began depending on a loving, caring God.

Think of a time when you 'lay all alone upon the waves' but through His grace and your faith, knew his protection covered you. My prayer is that throughout this Inspired series, you will grow deeper in your own journey of faith, that you will be encouraged and be willing to let God work in and through you to carry out His purpose for you.

You were created on purpose - with a purpose. Let the journey begin...
