I like this bit of wisdom, “Counting time is not nearly as important as making time count.” Hi, I’m Tom Ellsworth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a minute message.

Within the last five weeks we have celebrated birthdays for three of our five grandchildren. Watching their excitement brings a lot of joy. But shouldn’t birthdays have great value at any season of life? After all they commemorate what has been and look forward to what will be. Some people seem to dread birthdays but I’ve always enjoyed having one. After all, age is a matter of the mind; if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. You see, with the passing of time, one’s attitude becomes either an ally or an enemy. You’ll enjoy life at every stage if you stay positive.   Need some help? Try measuring your age in Celsius; on that scale I’m only 15 and a half.

God has blessed us with time and every birthday is a gift. Our grandchildren are already counting the days until their next birthdays. In the years ahead, however, I want them to learn that counting time is not nearly as important as making time count. Be thankful for every day and make your time count for God.
