The measure of your true wealth is what you'd be worth if you lost all your money. Hi I’m Tom Ellsworth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a minute message.

Eighty-one years ago this month, Parker Brothers introduced America to a board game that is still a hot seller – Monopoly. Today, the game is produced for 103 countries worldwide and is translated into 37 different languages. After eight decades, Monopoly is more popular today than ever. In addition to being fun, it can be a great tool to help teach the concept of money management. But for all of the rainy afternoon Monopoly games ever played it fails to teach a couple very important concepts about money and life. Monopoly suggests that lots of cash can solve every problem, but money can’t buy health, happiness or hope, three treasures for a significant life. Nor does Monopoly teach us about sharing what we have with those in need. The greater joy is in giving not getting.

With the holiday season just around the corner, don’t let your own wants monopolize you. Hurry past Go to share with others in need and you’ll learn why the Lord said it is more blessed to give than to receive
