Lillian Dickson wrote, “Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once.” Hi, I’m Tom Ellsworth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with a minute message.

Life is priceless; are you making the most of every moment, or does time slip by like sand through your fingers, never to be yours again? If life is like a coin, then let’s think for a moment about the economics of our daily living. Some live inflationary lives – they are constantly adding to an already full existence, and an inflated life out of control can drive a person to desperate measures. Some lives, on the other hand, are in recession. Troubles and difficulties cause fear, doubt and disappointment leading to a downward spiral. Left unchecked that life will move from recession to a full depression.

If life is like a coin, then it must be invested wisely to produce the greatest return. I like the guiding principle of this bit of verse, “Only one life will soon be past – only what’s done for Christ will last.” Your life is like a coin – make your venture a spiritual one and you’ll receive an eternal return on your investment!
