Over and Over Again

The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. (2 Chronicles 36:15 NIV)

In spite of the multiple kings doing evil in the sight of God throughout this book of the Bible, God continues to watch over and reach out to his people.   Certainly there are consequences to their behavior however the loving God of the universe continues on with his unconditional love for His people.

Take heart in knowing that no matter what you do, what you have done, what you will do tomorrow, God still loves you.  He pursues you, He listens to your prayers and He answers.

Often we go to God in prayer in the middle of our mess asking for the consequences of our mistake to ease or change, or completely go away.  Sometimes the loving answer from God is either no or not yet.  Followed by His promise, my grace is sufficient for you. I am the great I Am.

Be reminded that the God of the Old Testament is the God of today, never changing and always faithful.  Even in your sin he is reaching out to you, His child, having pity and concern for you.
That is what happens on our behalf because of Christ Jesus over and over and over again.
