Faith That Costs Something

Nov 4, 2026

Comfort can quietly pull us away from following Jesus deeply. Yet the earliest Christians discovered that true faith often comes with a cost. As suffering and opposition arose, many could have kept quiet—but instead, they spoke with gentle boldness. Their lives declared that Jesus was worth more than approval, safety, or ease. Is there a place in your life where fear of rejection or desire for comfort keeps you from sharing Christ’s love?

Maybe God is inviting you to take a courageous step, even if it feels risky. Following Jesus isn’t a promise of an easier life, but of true life—a life found as we lay down our own desires and say yes to His call. Let’s ask God for strength to live generously and bravely today, knowing that “to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
