Time, Talent, Treasure...
We all have those three things. This holiday season, we would like to encourage you to spend some of your time, talent and treasure caring for others. Below, you'll see some local and global opportunities to make a difference through care. Identify one or two that you, your family or connect group can get passionate about and invest in. Then invest.
Every year, millions of children around the world receive Christmas gifts and the gift of the Gospel through Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan's Purse. Last year, Sherwood Oaks collected over 14,000 gifts through our church and as a regional collection site. You, your family or connect group have an opportunity this fall to be part of sharing the Gospel and a simple Christmas gift. Pick up a shoebox at Sherwood Oaks starting on Sunday, October 4. Fill it up (click here for more information on how to do that) and bring it back between November 16 and 23.
Additionally, you, your family or connect group can volunteer to help collect, pack and prepare some of those shoeboxes to be shipped to Samaritan's Purse November 16-23. Click the clink below to register for a 2-3 hour shift!
