If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably encountered more than a few difficulties in your life. You’ve felt like the world has collapsed around you. You’ve felt lost, alone, and wandering. But have you ever considered those difficulties in light of what you’ve been delivered from?
Hi, I’m Emily Bedwell from Sherwood Oaks with today’s minute message.
When the job you wanted didn’t come through, maybe you heard later about the toxic work environment you narrowly avoided. When the relationship ended, your heart was spared even deeper hurts. When you were wronged, and showed mercy, you were able to allow other people to see the Savior in you.
Time and time again, the Bible is full of stories of deliverance. Sometimes God delivered an entire people from the enemy. Sometimes God delivered a single soul. God delivered Isaac and Abraham because of Abraham’s obedience. God delivered the Jewish people because of Esther’s bravery. God delivered the sick, the broken, the impure with His compassion throughout the New Testament.
Psalm 32:7 says, “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Whatever you are facing, God is there. Don’t lose heart.
