Where It Wants To Go

Something that really spoke to me is how this message obviously addresses the state of the world right now. If you look all over social media, there’s hate being plastered everywhere because of the election results. It’s really getting to me. It feels like if we take things into our own hands, we fail, but if we pray, read our Bible, and go to God, we realize that God is in control whether we like it or not. It’s almost laughable because we think we can go against God and try our own way, but God’s always in control. Even if we go down the wrong road, He’s still guiding us.

An analogy I could use is riding a horse. You have the reins, but if the horse wants to go a certain way, it will, no matter how much you try to stop it. I think that’s how God works sometimes. He gives you the right to do whatever you want with your life, but in the end, He’s going to do what He wants to do. This message is also speaking to me as we go into the holidays, a season of giving and spending time with family. We need to learn to be more like Jesus.

Even during the holiday chaos of figuring out presents for Christmas and Thanksgiving plans, we need to remember to follow Jesus and the path God has set for us. Everything will be okay because God is always in control.
